Our story

From frontier
to field.

Ryquo began with a shared conviction that frontier intelligence should take the shape of the field it serves.

Our founders arrived at that idea through research, engineering, and education. In research labs, they learned to question and test. In industry, they built systems that had to work in practice. In education, complex ideas had to become clear enough for people to use with judgment.

Those experiences became Ryquo's three branches: Research, Applications, and Education. Together, they connect advances in AI with the knowledge and practical demands of a discipline.

Tianyi Huang

Tianyi leads Ryquo's company strategy, research direction, and model development. His research has been presented at NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, ACL, and AAAI, including an oral presentation at the AAAI SIAI Workshop. He has conducted research at MIT CSAIL and worked as a machine learning engineer at Cleanlab, building trustworthy AI systems.

His experience also spans language model engineering at Mathos AI (YC W25) and AI education as a Research Fellow at the App Inventor Foundation. He contributed to Google Summer of Code in 2025 and has guest lectured at Carnegie Mellon University on AI for Humanities.

Co-founder & CTO

Michael Li

Michael leads Ryquo's technical execution, translating research into specialized AI systems. His work at Carnegie Mellon University's Language Technologies Institute includes research in agentic systems and reinforcement learning, as part of his master's studies.

He earned his bachelor's degree magna cum laude from the University of Washington's Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering, where he conducted research in the Social Reinforcement Learning Lab. He brings machine learning experience from Pinterest, Amazon, and earlier startups to Ryquo's research and engineering work.
